Even though chimpanzees are being forced to dedicate their lives to helping humans, they are almost never given nice living conditions. Hundreds of them are shut up in tiny, bare steel-barred prisons, all by themselves, sad and utterly bored. A group called the Committee for Conservation and Care of Chimpanzees is working very hard to make things better for all chimpanzees in captivity. 29 ¸ Protecting Chimpanzees Chimpanzees in the wild are disappearing very fast.
